Kevin I hate to say it but your mom is dead

So angry about how a suicide is being dealt with at my high school right now… It’s not my place to say anything about this person that I don’t know, other than I hope he is in a better place and that his family will be at peace. And I hope that his real friends will be able to express that this friendship meant a lot, and that they will be able to find peace as well. But all of these obvious posers posting on Facebook about how much they loved this kid and what great friends they were, that is so disrespectful to use this situation to make yourself appear close with a person you never really knew or were even bullying as of three days ago… And other people saying that “what he did was wrong” and talking about his intentions like they knew what he was going through, wow screw you for assuming you know exactly why someone would take their own life. Suicide is talked about far too often by people who think they are qualified to have first-hand opinions on the matter. I’m not in a position to pretend that I know what exhibiting suicidal behaviors feels like, and neither are a lot of people. Don’t pretend that you know what was best for this kid. You didn’t care about him when he was alive, it’s an insult to suddenly become interested in him only after he’s died.
